Dynamic Connection—Exploring the relationship of traditional craftsmanship and contemporary context in Sheffield Hallam University

The exhibition presents the works of selected from the Chinese alumni of the university. They grew up in a cultural context of "mutuality", and their works embody tradition and contemporaneity, global and local, experimentation and practice. Artists exhibit their creative practice that is able to reflect the dynamic connection between globalization and localization, traditionality and contemporaneity, and experimentality and practicality. The cultural, social and historical information that these works carry combined with traditional craftsmanship and modern technologies is expected to reveal a valuable reference of modernizing intangible culture heritages in China.
