Huimin Zhang

Huimin Zhang , an artist with over 16 years of experience and a collection of thousands of antique metal ornaments, graduated from the Royal College of Art in 2023 with a degree in Jewellery & Metal.

She has developed her own unique creative approach by integrating techniques such as filigree, chasing and repoussé, as well as European gold and silver wire embroidery. To complement her handmade 0.08mm gold wire, she even invented an ultra-low temperature 22K gold solder powder.

She believes that combining multiple crafts is a way to preserve traditional techniques. In the two years since completing her master's degree, she has received numerous awards, including the Metal Wire Innovation Gold Award from the British Craft and Design Council, and has been invited to become an honorary member of the Worshipful Company of Gold & Silver Wyre Drawers.
